Becoming Licensed

How to get your Real Estate License

They are both excellent schools and both offer on-line, CD-rom and classroom courses. Please visit their website for costs and class dates.

Required Course and Training

The state requires a 63 hour pre-licensing course and the succcessful completion (70%) of the course exam. Followed by the state exam, which is administed through a testing center, here in St. Petersburg.

We suggest application be made to the state prior to or at the time you start the pre-licensing course. As the state may take up to 8 weeks to process an application, we feel it is helpful to be approved for the state exam prior to completing the pre-licensing course so you can sit for the state exam, on your schedule, after completing the required course.

To make application you must complete:

Application to the State of Florida $150.00                                                                            

Electronic fingerprinting $61.00

State exam fee $31.50

The above forms are available through the pre-license schools mentioned above - All fees are in addition t0 the pre-licensing course fee - Successful complete of the state exam requires a passing grade of 75%.

Prior to becoming licensed

All applicants that are planning to pursue a fulltime real estate career, whether immediately or on a transition plan, you are encouraged to meet with our firm prior to becoming licensed. Lambrecht & Associates has developed a "FAST TRACK PROGRAM" that can assist a potential new agent by giving you an opportunity to achieve an accelerated start to your real estate career.

New Agents

The State of Florida requires any person wishing to sit for the Florida Real Estate License exam to successfully complete the FREC I Course which consists of 60 hours of instruction and a 3 hour end of course exam. ERA Lambrecht can provide you with a list of schools and locations offering the FREC I Course.

Although you are non-licensed during the pre-exam period, it is an excellent opportunity to start preparing for your new career.

We offer a "FAST TRACK" program for new candidates who have signed on with our firm. It covers the basic knowledge and set up to allow the new licensee to hit the ground running following their exam. This is a six week in-house program continuing classroom and in the field training that teaches you the basic skills that lead to Real Estate success. Prospecting, Marketing Presentation, working with buyers and sellers and learning the company's products and services as well as business plan developments are covered in depth.

New and Experienced Agent Courses

Acceleration: This 5 day ERA course focuses on sharpening your skills in marketing, negotiating, prospecting and closing. In this facilitator-led course, you will learn winning listing presentations, assess and understand seller's and buyer's needs and the importance of time management.

Top Gun Academy: This 8 week course (1 day per week) is designed for graduates of Acceleration and those more experienced in Real Estate sales. This class builds on the areas of prospecting, presentation and skill development. Graduates, on average, have improved their previous production by more than 3 fold in just eight weeks. 

e-campus: This is where you can find educational resources from basic interest such as Microsoft Office and Power Point all the way through designative courses such as the ABR. There are 300 courses to choose from and the formats are live classroom, virtual classroom and self-paced modules done at your leisure.

Historic Properties: As a result of ERA's association with the National Turst for Historic Preservation you will have the opportunity to participate in marketing programs for properties of historical and architectural significance. You will benefit from educational programs to join this niche market.

International Collection: Training in this course is tailored for the agent in the luxury mariket. You will learn architectural styles and upscale global marketing techniques.

TeamERA.com: A web site devoted totally to helping you manage your business and career. It featues an automated drip mail marketing campaign for specific need customers or all your customers. Simply load your database and either pick from scores of templates you can personalize or use point and click design options. Want to put a personal skill development plan together? Real Estate Referral Agents, Inc.

A Great Opportunity for those having worked hard to obtain their real estate license but find they are not in a position to pursue real estate at the current time. Joining RERA allows you to activate your license and avoid all of the fees associated with being a full time Realtor and paying dues to the Board.

So often agents, with an inactive license don't ask permission to have an active agent help those with a real estate need. Think about how often you hear or know of someone that needs the service of a Realtor...those could be your Referrals! Through RERA you can earn referral income while sending those in need to a Realtor at Lambrecht & Associates. This is a wonderful opportunity for not only you but ERA Lambrecht & Associates and our partnership.

RERA is a Florida registered real estate comay. The company, formed by Carl Lambrecht, is to act strictly as a referral company. The purpose of RERA was to create a licensed real estate company that will allow agents that are not currently actively pursing a real estate career, to place their real estate license for a nominal fee and be able to generate referral commissions.

When you procure a referral (whether from a friend, family member, neighbor, co-worker or elsewhere), you simply recommend ERA Lambrecht & Associates, Inc., and process the referral through Lambrecht & Associates and RERA.

The Referral Associate (you) will have an annual fee of $165.00. This includes the cost of maintaining an active relationship with RERA and obtaining a St. Pete Occupational License. This will entitle you to place an unlimited number of referrals and have the potential to earn thousands of dollars in referral commission. If you place 3 referrals with Lambrecht that close in a calendar year, $100.00 of your referral fee will be waived for that year.
